After receiving his first guitar at age 10, a determined Michael became self-taught with the help of his bedroom radio, spending days on end playing along with Jimi Hendrix, Wes Montgomery and B.B. King records. After studying jazz guitar in high school, an impromptu backstage audition for George Clinton in 1974 earned 17-year-old Michael a seat on the Parliament mothership alongside the immortal Eddie Hazel, under the name “Kidd Funkadelic”.
Hampton has spent the past half-century playing nearly 400 shows with the band, in 25 countries across 6 continents. Highlights include multiple appearances at world-renowned festivals like Montreux Jazz, Glastonbury, Reading, Woodstock ’99, Coachella, Bonnaroo, Roskilde, Lollapalooza, Fuji Rock, and Isle of Wight, and venues like the Apollo Theater, The Fillmore, Royal Albert Hall, Madison Square Garden, The Troubadour, Red Rocks, The Beacon, and Sydney Opera House.
Though best known for his role in the funk guitar pantheon, Hampton is also an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, with drums, keys, and synth programming credits across the Parliament discography.

Set in a dystopian future, the United States is ruled by a tyrannical government, but redemption is eventually realized through coded extraterrestrial messages channeled in Sam Edwards' new novel.
The main character is Sam Edwards who also narrates the story, a decorated Marine Veteran, present-day bureau chief for the WNA (World News Agency).

Edwards has authored a best-selling book exposing the Commonwealth and Blackout Committee with telepathic guidance from two Centauri extraterrestrial ambassadors named J-Rod and Naxia who have been secretly working with the U.S. Air Force at the highly classified S4 facility near Area 51.
The book entitled The Liberty Codeprompted J-Rod to implant a masterplan for the revitalization of Earth following his death. J-Rod was secretly deployed by the Pentagon to S4 after crashing his spacecraft outside Kingman, Arizona in 1953.
Edwards wrote The Liberty Codeas fiction, but it quickly evolved into a nonfiction chain of events after Sam revealed parallelisms to real world occurrences. For instance, the U.S. military launching of ‘Operation Yuma’ a brilliant tactical covert ops mission to liberate the Cuban people from communism. Cuba has been under a socialist regime since 1959, and now Cubans are enjoying their freedoms without Marxist control as an unincorporated territory of the United States. The U.S. finally settled their differences with Chinese and Russian leaders eliminating an imminent threat of nuclear warfare.
There is new leadership in Moscow as Prime Minister Patya Aleksandrov has become the new Russian President. After years of planning the Space Development Agency(SDA) completed the construction of the Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI).
The initiative began in 1983 under President Ronald Reagan codename Star Wars. A missile defense system intended to protect the United States from attack by ballistic nuclear missiles. NASA engineers modified SDI with laser weaponry technology and the ability to destroy enemy targets located on earth and in space. SDI destroyed two Russian satellite killers suspected of fostering nuclear weapons deployed by former Russian leader Adrik Nikolaev.

J-Rod’s most optimistic intent was to eliminate nuclear weapons permanently, a desire unfulfilled with empty promises. A female Centauri ambassador by the name of Naxia assisted J-Rod with the editing of Sam’s book and slipped in a matchmaking excerpt reconnecting the love of his life Director Phyliss Cox of the NNSA (National Nuclear Security Administration). Director Cox and Sam embarked in an enthusiastic love affair and eventually married.
During President Haylee Coly’s Address to the Nation, the president divulged that extraterrestrials were real and have been helping humankind for centuries.

President Coly introduced Naxia from the oval office live on worldwide television, but her affirmation turned into a major setback in continual relations with our Centauri allies. Centauri leader Plythra Zengor threatened to send all his scientists and engineers deployed on Earth back to their home planet unless Naxia quickly returned back to Proxima Centauri to absolve ongoing embarrassment.
The year is 2040 and the United States is a nonidentical political region. The news media, which was once a reliable source for information around the globe has lost all credibility and are now more suitable as a propaganda machine for political gain and empowering the two-percenters in the U.S. and super wealthy around the world. The Blackout Committee forbids credible news agencies and journalists to report the news accurately and news events are scripted before they are aired.
BLACKOUT COMMITTEE LEADERS
There is only one political structure that runs the country now, The Commonwealth Party. The inability to solve issues between a two-party democratic system was revised after serious conflicts led to nationwide rioting and mass murders. After the election between Republican nominee Myles Whitman and Democrat nominee Stephen Marshall, government interference became unavoidable. After the final televised debate, both men were gunned down and assassinated. Supporters of both parties were blamed. Political polarization in America was encouraged and intensified by the press and its inexcusable scheme and diabolic methods of using Artificial Intelligence, used despairingly to provoke society meltdowns and chaos for the sole purpose of composing trending news stories on the internet, breaking news stories on television and radio stations, and front-page news headlines in newspapers.
U.S. Politics and Policies Experts blamed the birth of fake news and sensationalism by media outlets for the hostile government takeover of America. An angered and resentful U.S. Government managed the situation by suppressing media and news outlets, redefining freedom of the press, and activating political censorship.
Out-of-control news outlets and independent blogger provocateurs relentlessly stirred up conspiracy theories and mayhem while implementing dangerous Artificial Intelligence (AI) tactics leading to government persecution. Journalists and bloggers are serving prison sentences while others have been executed abroad. And because of their lunacy the entire world suffers the consequences. But the word on the streets is that the downfall of the news media was only an excuse for the beginning of a “New World Order.”
When the U.S. Government began its political censorship crusade the rest of the world followed suit. Since the Commonwealth gained power, the U.S. Military have been disunited and the American spirit shattered, but there exists a military unit of courageous men and women warriors called the Liberty Regiment who aspire for a unified redemption against an unscrupulous political system that is destroying America.
